We’re a family-owned construction company based right here in Medina, and one of the things that makes us a little different is the range of work we’re willing and able to do.

We build custom homes and remodels. We restore old buildings. We work on septic, drainage, rainwater, solar, and other property improvements. And we still replace water heaters, make repairs, and take care of the everyday jobs people need help with.

A lot of construction isn’t neat and predictable. Properties have problems. Old buildings surprise you. Plans change. We’re good at figuring those things out, whether the job takes a few hours or many months.

After more than 20 years and 500+ completed projects, we’ve learned that doing good work matters, but so does taking care of the people you’re doing it for. We live here too, and that matters to us.

We take on a wide range of projects, from remodels and additions to custom homes, historic renovations, septic systems, drainage projects, rainwater systems, solar, and other improvements to homes and properties.

Some projects are pretty straightforward. Others involve a lot of planning, coordination, and problem-solving. We’re comfortable with both, and we have the experience to see a project through from start to finish.

Not every project needs to be a custom home or a major remodel. We also replace water heaters, make repairs, fix things that aren’t working the way they should, and take care of the smaller projects that come with owning a home or property.

Sometimes you need a builder. Sometimes you just need someone dependable who can come fix the problem. We’re happy to do both.

As early as you can. You definitely don’t need to have finished plans before you call us.

If you’re looking at land, have a rough idea sketched out, or just know you want to build or remodel, we’re happy to talk through it with you. Getting involved early gives us a chance to look at the property, talk honestly about budget, and catch things that may affect the project before you’ve spent a lot of time or money going in the wrong direction.

Absolutely. A lot of our work starts with land our clients already own.

We can walk the property with you and look at things like where the home should sit, access, slope, drainage, utilities, water, and septic. Hill Country property can come with a few challenges, and it’s much easier to plan for them at the beginning.

Design-build means we can help take a project from the early design work all the way through construction.

For us, that matters because what looks good on paper also has to work on your property and with your budget. We can think through things like the site, drainage, septic, water, materials, and cost before the plans get too far along.

It keeps everyone working together and gives us a chance to solve problems early instead of finding them once construction has already started.

We’d rather have an honest conversation about budget at the beginning than design something you love and find out later it doesn’t fit what you want to spend.

If you can give us a general range, we can help you understand what’s realistic, where it makes sense to spend more, and where there may be simpler ways to accomplish the same thing.

There’s almost never just one way to build something. Part of our job is helping you sort through those choices.

Most of our projects are built around a defined scope and bid, so you have a clear idea of what the project will cost before we start construction.

The land gets a vote.

A beautiful Hill Country property can also come with rock, slopes, drainage issues, limited access, septic considerations, water needs, and plenty of other things that affect where and how you build.

We don’t like the idea of choosing a house and then trying to force it onto a piece of land. We’d rather understand the property first and design the home with it in mind.

That usually makes for a better home, fewer surprises, and a property that works better as a whole.

Quite a few. Depending on the home and property, we can incorporate things like solar, rainwater collection, foam insulation, water-conscious landscaping, efficient systems, thoughtful drainage, and site planning that makes sense for the land.

For us, “green” also needs to be practical. We’re not interested in adding something just so we can put a green label on a house. We want to look at what will actually save resources, work well, and make sense for the way you’ll use the property.

Sometimes that means adding systems like solar or rainwater collection. Sometimes it’s simply designing and building the property better in the first place.

Yes. We’re based in Medina, so building on ranches and larger Hill Country properties is familiar territory for us.

And on acreage, the project is usually about more than just the house. You may also be thinking about roads and access, septic, water, drainage, solar, rainwater, barns or other buildings, and how the property needs to work day to day.

That’s one of the reasons our range of experience comes in handy. We can look at the house and the land around it as one project instead of a bunch of unrelated pieces.

Yes. We install rainwater systems, and if you’re building a new home, it’s much better to think about the system from the beginning.

We can plan for things like the roof collection area, tank location, filtration, and how the water system fits with the rest of the property.

Rainwater doesn’t have to feel like something that was tacked onto the house later. With some planning, it can be part of the home from day one.

Absolutely. This is work we really enjoy.

We’ve worked with reclaimed materials and spent years restoring and transforming historic buildings while keeping the character that made them worth saving in the first place.

Reclaimed doors, wood, metalwork, fixtures, stone, and other older pieces can also be worked into new construction and remodels. It takes some creativity to make an old piece work in a new space, but that’s also what can make the finished project one of a kind.

If you already have something you want to save or reuse, show it to us. We’re usually pretty good at figuring out what we can do with it.

Yes. We handle permitting and coordinate with the local jurisdictions, utilities, and others involved in getting the project ready to build.

If there’s something you need to handle directly or a decision we need from you, we’ll let you know. Otherwise, we work to keep those pieces moving so you don’t have to figure them all out on your own.
